z3 Trebinje je grad i opština u Istočnoj Hercegovini, u Bosni i Hercegovini. Administrativno pripada Republici Srpskoj. Nalazi se na tromeđi BiH, Hrvatske i Crne Gore. Od Dubrovnika je udaljeno 27 km, od Herceg Novog 45 km. Susjedne opštine su mu Ravno, Ljubinje i Bileća. Geografija[uredi kod] Grad Trebinje se nalazi na krajnjem jugu Republike Srpske, u Hercegovini. Smješteno je na Popovom polju, ispod planine Leotar, na nadmorskoj visini 273 m. Jednim dijelom kroz Trebinje protiče rijeka ponornica Trebišnjica, čija je ukupna dužina 96,5 km. Klima[uredi kod] Klima u Trebinju je mediteranska (sredozemna) sa kratkim blagim zimama i dugim žarkim ljetima. Jeseni su toplije od proljeća, a snijeg je veoma rijetka pojava. Trebinje je danas najtopliji grad u Republici Srpskoj, odnosno Bosni i Hercegovini (uz Mostar i Neum). Prosječna godišnja temperatura vazduha u gradu je 14,8 °C (1981—2010), prosječna januarska temperatura je 5.9 °C, a dok je julska 25,0 °C. Ljeti se temperature često penju iznad 40 °C, a zimi se se ponekad spuste i ispod 0 °C. Najviša zabilježena temperatura iznosila je 42,5 °C, 22. jula 2007. A najniža zabilježena temperatura iznosila je -10.5 °C, 9. januara 1985. Godišnje padne prosječno 1532 mm padavina. Dana 21. 7. 2015. tačno u ponoć, u Trebinju je izmjerena temperatura od 33,3 °C, a prema podacima RHMZ RS to je najviša ponoćna temperatura ikada zabilježena na prostoru BiH. Grad ima oko 260 sunčanih dana u godini. Trebinje spada u najsunčanije gradove na Balkanu. Snijeg u Trebinju je prava rijetkost, a i kada padne zadrži se po nekoliko časova. Karakteristični vjetrovi u Trebinju su Bura i Jugo. Bura duva sa sjeveroistoka, donosi prohladno i vedro vrijeme. Dok Jugo duva iz pravca jugoistoka, donosi toplo i kišovito vrijeme. Jugo duva obično u zimskom periodu. Klima je pogodna za uzgoj velikog broja palmi i južnog voća (smokva, nar, mandarina, limun, narandža, grejpfrut, maslina, vinova loza).
